Working with Dr. Lula
Every NuHealth plan combines compounded GLP-1 medication, ongoing care from your clinician, and a nutrition + movement system personalized to your biology.

“Programs from $125 / month — one transparent price for medication, clinician care, and lifestyle support. No insurance required, no hidden fees.”
Kris, Marina or Dr. Lula look at your labs, your history and what you’ve tried, then talk through which option fits. Sometimes the answer is none of them.

Once-weekly GLP-1 receptor agonist that reduces hunger signals, slows gastric emptying, and improves blood sugar control. A once-weekly GLP-1 program our clinicians titrate to you. Patients typically see steady, sustained changes.
Best for: Most patients with BMI 27+ or weight-related health conditions
What it is
A compounded GLP-1 receptor agonist delivered as a once-weekly subcutaneous injection. Acts on the appetite and gastric-emptying pathways to support a calorie deficit.
Timeline
Most patients notice appetite changes within the first 1–2 weeks. Dose is titrated up over the first 12 weeks to find the lowest effective level for you.
Monitoring
Initial labs reviewed by your clinician, monthly check-ins, and quarterly bloodwork. Dose is adjusted based on tolerance, labs, and how you feel.
Safety: Medically supervised with gradual titration. Mild nausea is the most common side effect, especially during the first 1–2 weeks, and typically resolves as your body adjusts.

A dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist. Acts on two complementary pathways for appetite regulation and metabolic control. Kris or Dr. Lula may suggest it if semaglutide hasn’t been enough.
Best for: Patients seeking a dual-mechanism (GIP + GLP-1) program
What it is
A compounded once-weekly injection that activates both GIP and GLP-1 receptors. The dual mechanism targets appetite, satiety, and metabolic regulation simultaneously.
Timeline
Appetite changes typically begin within the first 1–2 weeks. Dose is titrated up over the first 16–20 weeks to balance efficacy and tolerability.
Monitoring
Initial labs reviewed by your clinician, monthly check-ins, and quarterly bloodwork. Your clinician adjusts the dose based on response and side-effect profile.
Safety: Medically supervised with gradual titration. Mild nausea is the most common side effect, especially during dose increases, and typically improves as your body adapts.

A blend of methionine, inositol, choline, B12 and amino acids. Supports liver fat metabolism, energy levels and methylation. Used alongside a GLP-1 program or as a stand-alone metabolic boost.
Best for: Patients on a GLP-1 program needing energy support, or those wanting metabolic support solo
What it is
A lipotropic blend of methionine, inositol, choline, B12 and amino acids. These nutrients support how the liver processes fat and how the body produces energy.
Timeline
Used as a weekly or biweekly injection. Many patients report a noticeable energy lift within the first few weeks. Best results come from consistent use alongside a structured program.
Monitoring
Reviewed at your regular clinician check-ins. Often layered onto an existing GLP-1 protocol, but can be used on its own as part of a broader wellness plan.
Safety: Medically supervised. Generally well-tolerated. Lipo B/C is an adjunct that supports energy and metabolism. It is not a stand-alone weight-loss medication and works best as part of a structured program.

Her clinicianKris Cutaj, MSPAS, PA-C, FAACMHow we screen
GLP-1 medication is not right for everyone. Every patient goes through the same medical review before a first dose, whether you start online or in our Royal Oak clinic.
When we say no
If GLP-1 medication isn’t safe or right for you, your clinician will tell you, explain why, and point you to the right next step, which is sometimes clearance from your own doctor first.
Kris, Marina or Dr. Lula reviews your health history and every medication you take, checking for conditions and interactions that change the plan.
They ask specifically about medullary thyroid cancer, MEN 2, pancreatitis and pregnancy plans. Some of these rule GLP-1 medication out; others need a closer look first.
Your provider orders and reviews a metabolic panel so the plan starts from your own numbers.
If your history or labs raise a question, we ask for clearance from your endocrinologist or other physician before prescribing.

Coverage has tightened. Many insurers have restricted GLP-1 coverage for weight loss in 2025–2026. Our compounded Semaglutide program is $125/month, which makes treatment accessible without insurance coverage.

Your clinician starts low, increases gradually, and can slow the schedule if symptoms persist. Side effects are reviewed at every monthly check-in, and you can message your clinician between visits.
“They explained how semaglutide works, what side effects to watch for, and how to adjust dosage over time.”
