Expression lines

Botox®

$10per unit

Most areas use 10–40 units. Your provider maps the exact count at your visit, before anything is drawn up.

FDA-approved botulinum toxin type A, placed by a licensed provider to soften the lines that show up when you frown, raise your brows, or squint: forehead lines, the “11s” between the brows, and crow’s feet.

The visit
About 20 minutes, including the consult and mapping. Back to your day right after; no downtime.
When it shows
Onset is typically 3–7 days, with the full effect at about 2 weeks. Results generally last 3–4 months.
Follow-up
A 2-week check assesses the result and adjusts with a touch-up if your provider recommends one.

What to know: Common, mild: temporary bruising, swelling, or redness at injection sites. Less common: temporary asymmetry or eyelid heaviness. Not for pregnant or breastfeeding patients. Your full medical history is reviewed at the consult.

An FDA-cleared microneedling device that creates controlled micro-channels in the skin, prompting your body’s own repair response. Used to improve the appearance of acne scarring, uneven texture, and fine lines, with no chemicals and no heat.

The visit
About 45–60 minutes. A numbing cream goes on first; the treatment itself is roughly 20–30 minutes.
Afterwards
Expect redness like a mild sunburn for 24–48 hours. Most patients are back to normal skincare and makeup within 2–3 days.
The series
Sessions are typically spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Skin quality changes build gradually over the series as collagen remodels.

What to know: Common, mild: redness, dryness, tightness, or pinpoint bleeding on the day of treatment. Not suitable for active acne breakouts, open lesions, or certain skin conditions. Your provider screens for these at the consult.

Consult and map

A licensed provider looks at how your face actually moves, talks through what you want softened or improved, and reviews your medical history. For Botox®, the exact unit count is mapped and priced before anything is drawn up. For SkinPen®, your skin is assessed and a series plan is set.

Treatment, same visit

If you are a candidate and want to proceed, treatment happens right then. Botox® takes about 10 minutes of the visit. SkinPen® is around 45–60 minutes including numbing. Both are done in a private treatment room, not a chair in a hallway.

Follow-up, built in

Two weeks after Botox® you come back for a look, and a touch-up if your provider recommends one. After SkinPen®, you get written aftercare and your next session is booked 4–6 weeks out. Questions in between go straight to the clinic.

Botox®

How many units of Botox® will I need?

It depends on the area and how strongly your muscles move. As a rough guide, the frown lines between the brows commonly use 20 units, the forehead 10–20, and crow’s feet 6–12 per side. Your provider maps your exact count at the consult and tells you the total before treatment, so at $10 per unit you know the price in advance.

Does it hurt, and is there downtime?

Most patients describe a quick pinch per injection. The visit takes about 20 minutes and you can go straight back to work. Avoid rubbing the area, lying flat, or hard exercise for the rest of the day.

When will I see a result, and how long does it last?

Onset is typically 3–7 days, with the full effect at about 2 weeks. Results generally last 3–4 months. Your 2-week follow-up is where your provider checks symmetry and adds a touch-up if one is warranted.

Who is not a candidate?

Botox® is not used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and certain neuromuscular conditions or medications rule it out. Your provider reviews your full medical history at the consult before anything is scheduled.

SkinPen® microneedling

What does SkinPen® actually do?

SkinPen® is an FDA-cleared microneedling device. It creates thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin, which triggers the body’s own repair and collagen-remodeling response. It is used to improve the appearance of acne scarring, uneven texture, and fine lines. No chemicals, no heat, no laser.

How many sessions will I need?

Most patients do a series of 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, then maintenance a couple of times a year. Skin quality changes build gradually over the series rather than appearing after one visit. Sessions start at $295, and series pricing is quoted at your consult.

What is recovery like?

Expect redness like a mild sunburn for 24–48 hours, sometimes with dryness or tightness. Most patients are back to normal skincare and makeup within 2–3 days. You will leave with written aftercare, including sun protection instructions.

Can I do Botox® and SkinPen® together?

Often yes, but usually not in the same session. Your provider will sequence them, typically spacing the two by a couple of weeks, and can build a plan that covers both.

Is the consultation free, and do I have to commit?

The consultation is free and there is no obligation. If you are a candidate and want to proceed the same day, you can. If you want to think about it, you leave with a written plan and price.

Do you take insurance or offer financing?

Cosmetic treatments are not covered by insurance. You pay per visit, and CareCredit financing is available for larger treatment plans.

Where are you, and do I need to be a Michigan resident?

We are at 30301 Woodward Ave, Suite 240, Royal Oak, MI 48073, between Birmingham and Berkley. Anyone who can come to the clinic in person can be treated; there is no residency requirement.
