Dr. Lula is a triple board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine with a passion for wellness through personalized, evidence-based care. With extensive experience in preventive medicine and weight management, Dr. Lula focuses on treating the root causes of illness rather than simply managing symptoms.

At NuHealth Medical Wellness, Dr. Lula combines advanced medical therapies with sustainable lifestyle interventions to improve quality of life. By creating individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique goals, Dr. Lula empowers patients on their long-term wellness journey.

Kris Cutaj, MSPAS, PA-C, FAACM, is a board-certified Physician Assistant and Clinical Lead at NuHealth Wellness. He is also board-certified in PRP/PRF (platelet-rich plasma and platelet-rich fibrin) therapy, and is passionate about personalized, evidence-based care. His areas of focus include medically supervised weight loss, hormone optimization, IV therapy, and aesthetic treatments.

Kris believes that no two patients are alike — and their care shouldn’t be either. He takes the time to understand each person and builds treatment plans designed specifically for them. His mission is to help patients look, feel, and perform their best while empowering them in their long-term wellness.

Why we started

Wellness care had lost the human in the equation.

NuHealth started in a clinic room in Royal Oak, Michigan. Dr. Erald Lula, an internist, and Kris Cutaj, a physician assistant, kept seeing the same pattern: patients arriving for a twenty-minute visit, leaving with a prescription and no real plan. The system was moving fast; the person in front of them was not.

So they rebuilt the model. Evidence-based protocols for weight, hormones, sexual health, performance, and longevity. A free consultation with a licensed provider, no upsells, no gatekeeping. Medication sourced through accredited compounding pharmacies, shipped discreetly, tracked closely. And, most importantly, an ongoing relationship with a clinician who actually knows your file.

Today NuHealth runs as a telehealth-enabled medical wellness clinic across Michigan, Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi — with our Royal Oak clinic on Woodward Ave for in-person care. The technology is newer. The idea is old: medicine works better when there’s a human in the room.
